Well the core developers don’t own or have Mac’s so we wait for volunteers. There usually is not to much to do, just build. Can you help?

I have been using wxFormBuilder to create GUI for my software, and I had to use xrc mechanism to initialize GUIs, I found it was a little slow when loading resources from XRC files. I guess the generated wxPython code should have better performance at run time.

I was on the verge of switching to Qt/PyQt because couldn’t find a wxPython designer I liked.

You just have to select ‘Python’ from the “Project->code_generation” setting. This is the same way you select XRC or C++.

And thank you on the help page which explains how to use it with instancing… excellent approach. It integrates well with xcode.

Note: xcode users should install 10.39 support when installing xcode 3, because it installs gcc 3.3 compiler, which is necessary for universal binary wxWidgets deployment lib compilation (PPC part). I use Aluminum iMac (Intel CPU)…

I am new to wxWidgets but it is clear that your application will make it so much easier to work with sizers.

This will most likely never be supported. This not in our plans any time soon. It just goes against our design goals. That doesn’t mean that another developer couldn’t add it, just that the core developers don’t believe in manual layout. Not trying to scare you off.
